ELEVEN  students of the Federal Polytechnic, Bida, Niger State, have been expelled, while 373 others were withdrawn for various examination malpractices during its 2010/2011 academic session.
The Rector, Alh. Abdullahi Sule, said the students were involved in various examination malpractices which is against the institution’s policy, and some of the affected students who refused to appear before Zonal Examination Misconduct Committee had been on indefinite suspension.
Pointing out that the names of the expelled and withdrawn students have been put on the blacklist of the institution, Sule disclosed that any one of them seen within the premises of the polytechnic after resumption will be shown the way out by the security personnel.
He said that the school would not relent in its determination to rid the school of examination malpractices, stressing further that the school authorities would never compromise the set standard for the training of its students.
The Rector, therefore, advised students to shun all forms of anti-social activities such as drug abuse, cultism and examination malpractices, so that they don’t run afoul of the school’s law.
