Boko Haram kingpin, Bashir Madalla declared wanted - SSS raids Boko Haram home, seizes documents
The State Security Services (SSS), on Friday, made another bold move when it raided the home of a Boko Haram kingpin, Bashir Madalla, in Madalla, Niger State. The violent Islamist sect’s member is said to be its coordinator for the Federal Capital Territory and Niger State. Although Madalla was not apprehended, the SSS made seizures of “vital documents,” which linked him to mastermind of all the sect’s attacks in the FCT and Niger.
Also found in his home was a large cache of pornographic pictures and visor clips. The SSS has therefore launched a manhunt for Madalla, with home cordoned off and placed under 24-hour security watch. It is believed that the raid on Madalla is one of the major moves the arrest and interrogation of the sect’s former spokesman, Abu Qaqa, has yielded. Qaqa has been making revelations to the SSS, including his statements on the internal workings and sponsorship of the group by powerful northerners. PIC: boko-Bullet-riddled-wall.
