On-going interrogation of Mallam Kabiru Abubakar DIKKO (a.k.a Kabiru SOKOTO) is said to be yielding positive results for men of the Department of State Service, DSS, as the cell-leader for the dreaded Jamaatu Ahlil Sunna Lidawati wal Jihad, otherwise known as Boko Haram, in the Madalla, Suleja and Abuja axis, has been identified by Sokoto.
He is Bashir Ibrahim – but not to be confused for another activist politician. Ibrahim is already on the run.
Sunday Vanguard gathered that pieces of information extracted from Kabiru Sokoto during processing revealed that Ibrahim is the cell leader in charge of Madalla, Suleja and Abuja operational axis.
In fact, fresh facts are beginning to suggest that Ibrahim may in deed be the mastermind of the Madalla Christmas Day bombing.
It is also coming to light that Kabiru may have just been an operational hand. Information pieced together at the weekend confirmed that Kabiru Sokoto was the leader of the sect in Sokoto State but “had to flee because of the security searchlight and the heat on him.”

It was also gathered that there is a manhunt for Bashir Ibrahim by the DSS – the hunt for Habibu Maman, the ex-soldier declared wanted last week, was another fall out from the on-going interrogation of Kabiru Sokoto.
Sources said that “upon revelations by Kabiru Sokoto regarding the cell leader of the sect in the Madalla, Suleja and Abuja axis”, a manhunt began immediately.
Already, a raid has been carried out on the residence of Ibrahim by the DSS. And whereas he had fled by the time the men got to his residence, the sources disclosed that “some incriminating documents were found”.
According to the sources, the documents, which are still being processed by the DSS, would lead to further unraveling of the activities of the sect. One of the sources said: more discoveries being made, I can tell you that a lot of progress comes with the discoveries.
“In fact, it became very obvious that once the re-arrest of Kabiru Sokoto was effected in Taraba State, that may have led to the fleeing of Bashir Ibrahim.
“If you recall it was the same thing with Kabiru Sokoto who was in constant communication with Abdul Qaqa but once Qaqa was arrested, communication ceased between both men.”
The source added that one of the funny discoveries at the residence of Ibrahim was the presence of some phonographic materials. “Phonographic compact discs were found at his residence too”, he said.
